Insulin Resistance Fast



This fast is designed to halt all the viscous cycles that occur between:

  • inflammation in the gut due to food allergies or hidden infections
  • imbalanced blood sugar/ insulin resistance
  • elevated cortisol due to adrenal stress
  • impaired liver detoxification


You will need:

  • Lemons and limes
  • Grade ‘B’ maple syrup – (you can find this at your local health food store)
  • Purified water


Combine water with lemons, limes and maple syrup to taste. Since you will be drinking this throughout the day, it is best to make enough to get you through the day. You may also drink green tea mixed in.

You will need to drink several ounces every 10-15 minutes to prevent your blood sugar from crashing. This is very important- if you go longer than 15-20 minutes you will feel terrible!! You don’t have to do this while you are sleeping.

This fast needs to last 3, 5, or 7 days

Do not eat ANYTHING during the fast as this will start the inflammation cycle all over again. If you must eat because you feel shaky or lightheaded then eat a raw veggie you don’t normally eat.
